Bryce Bell

Bryce was born in De Smet and has lived his entire life in South Dakota. He grew up hearing stories of Harvey Dunn from his grandparents, Aubrey and Laura Sherwood, and seeing Harvey's work throughout the town. Even after leaving De Smet he has always been drawn to the colorful vistas of his youth. He loved that the co-founders of the Harvey Dunn Plein Air event (including his parents, Bob and Phyllis Bell) thought to bring attention to the wonderful works of all the artists create, regardless of the abilities, age, or experience. He and his wife, Jane, currently live in Sioux Falls and have two wonderful children. He joined the board in late 2023.
