Sharon Schaller
Founding Board Member
Sharon grew up on a farm with her three sisters and like Harvey Dunn, she attended a country school. Growing up she devoured Laura Ingalls Wilder books as they came out. She attended Deaconess school of nursing and was later certified in the field of psychiatric nursing. She married Rick in 1965 and raised two daughters. She followed her "Wilder" passions and has visited most of the LIW sites. While doing so she fell in love with De Smet where she met Aubrey Sherwood, De Smet News editor, who shared his knowledge and appreciation of Harvey Dunn as he drove Sharon all over "Dunn" country. She, too, became enamored with the work of Dunn and feels her life has been greatly enriched by her involvement on the Harvey Dunn Society Board of which she is a founding member.
